Patricia Ann Rapier

Biography

I was born in a small upstate New York town called Watertown September 16, 1945. Ever since I can remember, I have loved to read. I would imagine myself in the exciting plots of the many books I would enjoy, feeling the magic of the words on the pages.

In 1957 my family made a major move to Northern California where I have remained to this day. Friends told me, as I grew older, I had a way with words. It seemed much easier to get my point across by writing as opposed to talking. As an adult I continued to be a voracious reader. After thirty-three years since high school graduation I decided to go to college and receive my AA degree in English. One of my favorite classes was creative writing and I've dabbled in it ever since.

I once was told that you should teach what you most need to learn. I am a caring and compassionate person when it comes to others. What I need to learn is to extend these gifts to myself. This is my journey at this time, you are welcome to stay with me as I take my baby steps to this goal.
